Beverley Knowles Fine Art was founded in 2002 and is the only art gallery in the country specialising in contemporary British female artists.

In the words of Cindy Sherman:
“hopefully it’s seen as feminist work, or feminist-advised work, but I’m not going to go around espousing theoretical bullshit about feminist stuff.”


We exhibit the best up and coming artists from the top art colleges across the country.

With the rise of so many stellar female artists in recent years it's generally thought that things have now evened up between the sexes. However, in the twenty one year history of the Turner Prize, for example, it has been won by female artists only twice.

We don't want to be boring about it but we would like to see the gender disparity evened out and are working towards that end.
